MMS, as part of a collaboration agreement with Mintek, has supplied a two stage 0.8m diameter G-Cell pilot plant to the research institute at its Randburg headquarters.
Mintek is engaged in research and development and technology transfer in the mining, metallurgical and chemical industries and has extensive research and development resources and facilities.
MMS and Mintek will co-operate on a confidential basis with each other for the process development of the Imhoflot G-Cell for use in flotation processes in the mining and metallurgical industries. It is envisaged the initial targets will be the recovery of platinum group metals in South Africa.
Mintek will offer the G-Cell pilot plant facilities for use by interested outside parties.
