Maelgwyn Mineral Services (MMS) is pleased to announce the sale of 3 Imhoflot V-Cells to Belaruskali for their Potash plant.

The sale consisting of two V41 (4.1m diameter ) cells for roughing and one V3.5 cell for cleaning follows on from previous sales between 2006 and 2009.

At the Belaruskali potash facility at Soligorsk, there are three flotation plants and one leach plant. Between 2006 and 2009, a total of eight Imhoflot V35 cells have been installed for cleaner duties in one of the flotation plants. There are eight process lines operating in parallel with a typical circuit configuration consisting of milling, hydrocyclones for de-sliming and conventional mechanical flotation machines for roughing, scavenging and cleaning.

The rougher product was historically cleaned in three mechanical cells and re-cleaned in two mechanical cells. Both sections (cleaner and re-cleaner in each process line) were previously replaced with one single IMF V35 cell treating 75t/h of solids at a volume throughput of 350m³/hr resulting in a concentrate grade of 95%KCl. This was achievable through the much faster flotation kinetics associated with the Imhoflot cells and improved energy utilisation combined with simple level control systems.
