Maelgwyn Mineral Services (MMS) is pleased to announce the delivery and commissioning of its first flotation plant to North America. The plant was installed at Bromide mining’s Utah gold operation.

Of particular importance to the client was to maximise throughput within the constraints of a very limited footprint due to the site elevation. Maelgwyn’s patented G/H-Cells were selected over other competitors due to the very high kinetics of Imhoflot pneumatic flotation enabling much higher throughputs to be achieved within this limited footprint. A modular design was adopted allowing an initial throughput of 25tph to be increased to 50tph.

The sulphide flotation plant consisted of 2 H2.0 rougher cells, 2 x G20 rougher scavengers and 1 G1.4 cleaner cell with associated automatic cell level control. Maelgwyn also supplied the design of the associated steel support structure which was then manufactured locally
